ATLA enjoyed another successful year in 2024. We were able to donate $40,000 to the Library this year, bringing our total to over $1.1 million since 1985.

Many thanks to our volunteers, Nagel Middle School, and our many customers in Anderson, Mt. Washington, and Greater Cincinnati for turning out for our sales and supporting the Library!

About the Anderson Township Library Association

ATLA logo, opens a new windowThe Anderson Township Library Association (ATLA) is a volunteer group that supports the facilities, services, and resources of the Anderson Township and Mt. Washington branch libraries. The major efforts of the Committee are two annual book sales. Funds raised by these sales are used to support adult and children’s programs, purchase books, audiovisual material, and special equipment.

For additional information about ATLA or its book sales, please call (513) 369-6030 or visit our Facebook page, opens a new window.

ATLA History

In 1979, the Anderson Library Committee was formed to promote a new library branch in Anderson Township. With population rapidly growing, the Mt. Washington Branch, one of the busiest in the CHPL system, was no longer adequate to serve the needs of residents.

Once the library branch was built, The Committee evolved and was renamed The Anderson Township Library Association or ATLA. The organization's single goal is to supplement funding for programming and materials at the Mt. Washington and Anderson branch libraries through annual book sales.

Books are collected from community donations and library discards, then sorted, priced, and stored for a large sale during the summer. The ATLA sale has expanded to include puzzles, gifts, a raffle, CDs, and DVDs. In the fall, we hold a special holiday sale of nearly-new and gently-used items.
