About the
Anderson Branch
The Anderson Branch Library opened as what was known as a regional branch on June 7, 1981. This new facility was one of several outer ring suburban locations being added to the Library's family of branches at the time. Anderson quickly became one of the busiest branches in Hamilton County.
In response to the growth of Anderson Township, 5,000 additional square feet of space was added to the building in 1988, making it the largest branch in our system. A number of interior and exterior improvements were made to the property during the renovation, including expanding the children’s area, enlarging the collection, and adding additional computer workstations. The newly expanded and remodeled facility was rededicated on August 28, 1998.
The Anderson Township Library Association plays an important role in supporting the services and resources of the Anderson Branch.
