About the

Symmes Township Branch

The Symmes Township Branch Library opened for service on February 24, 1991. Special features of the 16,650 square foot building include a circular meeting room and an array of windows affording generous natural lighting. Inscribed around the curved exterior wall of the meeting room are the names of great thinkers - Homer, Sophocles, Aristotle, Euclid, and Virgil. Above the main entrance, the words of Thoreau remind: “Books are the treasured wealth of the world and the fit inheritance of generations and nations.”
