The Library Foundation
The Library Foundation, opens a new window is the philanthropic backbone of the Library. A 501(c)(3) organization, it accepts monetary donations and and manages endowments to support the Library. In the past 10 years, The Library Foundation has provided more than $3 million in direct support for programs and services, like Summer Learning, homework helpers, has helped to create the MakerSpace at the Downtown Main Library, and much, much more. The Friends of the Public Library
The Friends of the Public Library, opens a new window provides support to the Library through sales of gently used books, movies and music at events and largely through the Friends Used Book Store and Warehouse in Hartwell. The Friends are a 501(c)(3) membership and volunteer organization. Members, opens a new window receive special benefits and discounts on merchandise. Through their profits, the Friends have helped support branch programs, special author events and literacy activities since their founding. ATLA
The Anderson Township Library Association provides support to the Anderson Township and Mt. Washington branch libraries through their two annual book sales. For their sales, they accept donations of gently used books, music and movies at the Anderson Township and Mt. Washington branch libraries. Founded in 1980, this 501(c)(3) volunteer group has donated more than $1 million in support to their library community. Consider donating materials or supporting a sale.
