Author Talk: Yalie Kamara

April is National Poetry Month, and the Library is celebrating with an author talk from Cincinnati and Mercantile Library Poet Laureate Emerita Yalie Kamara at the Downtown Main Library on Sunday, April 26 from 3:30-5 p.m. The Library’s 2026 Writer in Residence Intisar Khanani will host a discussion with Kamara, who will sign books following the talk. 

The event is free and open to the public. The Bookery will be onsite selling books by both Yalie and Intisar. Part of the proceeds will go toward supporting The Library Foundation.

Joseph-Beth Booksellers is partnering with the Library for a lecture with novelist Matt Dinniman on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 7 p.m. at the Downtown Main Library! This event will be held after library hours for ticket holders.

Tickets are $32 and include a pre-signed copy of A Parade Of Horribles. Please purchase through the link. Signed books will be available for pick up at the event. A portion of ticket sales will benefit The Library Foundation, opens a new window.
