BLINK Cincinnati is billed at the nation's largest public art festival, transforming both sides of the river into an immersive cityscape of light, projection mapping, murals, and interactive installations. It's back Thursday, Oct. 8 through Sunday, Oct. 11.
The festival spans over 35 blocks in five zones: Covington, The Banks, Over-the-Rhine, Findlay Market, and Fountain Square.
The Downtown Main Library is the perfect pit stop to take a sensory break, rest your legs, use the restroom, or plan where to wander next. During the festival, the Downtown Main Library will extend its hours through 10 p.m. While services will be unavailable, the atrium and restrooms will be open for customer use.
While you're here, explore lantern slides from the Library's collection, which will be on display through Tuesday, Oct. 13. The historic photos feature downtown scenes, from Fountain Square and The Great Hall in Old Main Library to the Roebling Suspension Bridge.
Plus, look out for crafts! Library staff will lead you through how to make light-up buttons and necklaces, the perfect accessory for BLINK shenanigans.
Located in the heart of Downtown Cincinnati, the Main Library is the perfect place to rest this weekend as you take in dozens of murals, sculptures, installations, and interactive performances. We can't wait to see you!
