About the Contest

Submission Guidelines

The contest is for ages 13-18. Art must be an original two-dimensional artwork and submitted through an entry form.

You can submit artwork beginning Oct. 6.

Winning Designs

  • The top three designs will have their artwork featured through custom bookmarks distributed in all 41 library locations.

Timeline

  • Oct. 6-31: Artists can submit their artwork
  • Nov. 3: Finalists are chosen and shared on CHPL's social media accounts and website
  • Nov. 3-7: The public is invited to vote for their choice to win the contest by voting on our social media accounts and website

Rules

Entries will be judged on creativity, style, and incorporation of the theme, “River Roots.”

Content should be appropriate for the teen audience, in accordance with CHPL’s Standards of Behavior. If you are entering more than one piece of art in the contest, turn in one entry form with each piece of art you submit. There is a limit of two entries per person.

Finalists will be chosen at the end of the submission period by Library staff. The winners of the contest will be chosen by the public through polling results on CHPL.org and CHPL social media accounts.
