Google and Highlights Magazine have partnered with libraries across the state of Ohio to provide free kits aimed at teaching school-age children digital wellness and internet safety skills.
About Be Internet Awesome
Be Internet Awesome are kits designed to help kids be smart, alert, strong, kind, and brave online. Related events will be hosted at Cincinnati and Hamilton County Public Library branches throughout the year!
Check CHPL.org/events for details. Events are free and will cover topics like online privacy, misinformation, cyberbullying, and knowing when to ask trusted adults for help. Rather than keeping kids off the internet altogether, events are meant to empower kids to navigate it both thoughtfully and responsibly.
