On Thursday, July 10, something special is happening at the Downtown Main Library and you’re invited!
Booked for the Evening: An After-Hours Library Experience is your chance to discover everything that makes the Cincinnati and Hamilton County Public Library extraordinary, all wrapped into a unique, adults-only night out. Even better? It’s kicking off the Meet Me at Main one-year anniversary festivities — part celebration, part fundraiser, and fully packed with library magic!
From 6:30 to 10 p.m., come explore what’s beyond the bookshelves and enjoy:
- Behind-the-stacks tours offering a rare peek into hidden library spaces
- Rare book viewings from our special collections team
- MakerSpace demos where guests can get hands-on with creative tech
- Live music on the Social Stairs to set the vibe
- Dinner by the bite and sweet treats
- Open bar featuring signature cocktails and mocktails
- Arts and crafts stations for interactive fun
- Photo ops perfect for Instagram-worthy moments
- And yes… adult storytime, because who says storytime is just for kids?
Tickets start at $50 per person, with proceeds supporting The Library Foundation’s mission to expand and enhance the many ways CHPL serves minds of all kinds.
This isn’t just a fun night out (although it will be a lot of fun!). It’s also a way for you to support a place that welcomes everyone, inspires curiosity, and builds a stronger, more connected community.
