Come to Saturday’s Books By the Banks Festival at the Downtown Main Library

Book lovers of all ages, get ready for a bibliophile's treat. Books By the Banks is back this Saturday, November 18 in a new location - the Downtown Main Library! The free event brings together 125+ national, regional, and local authors for panel discussions and book signings. Plus, there's fun for younger visitors in the Kids’ Corner and Teen Scene areas.

About Books by the Banks

In its 17th year, Greater Cincinnati's regional book festival is free and open to the public. Organized by local libraries and booksellers with support from sponsors, opens a new window, the festival includes a unique mix of events: panels where you can hear from the authors as well as opportunities to meet all of the authors at book signings. 

The festival hosts authors of varied genres, from graphic novels and science nonfiction to thrillers and suspense. This year's headlining authors include:

Attendees can bring books to sign or buy more than 150 titles for sale. "Book sales sustain the festival and help us bring a fantastic author lineup to the Cincinnati region year after year," states the festival's website.

The Kids Corner features activities all day, including a workshop with author and illustrator Andy J. Pizza, and balloon fun with Cincinnati Circus, and an author workshop with Yukiko Ryburn and The Kokeshi Project, opens a new window team. The Teen Scene also has an exciting all-day lineup including a graphic novel demonstration with Shawn Pryor, crafts, and VIP author meet and greets.
