The event will feature keynote speaker Dr. Holly McGee, a University of Cincinnati professor who specializes in Untied States and African American history, with an emphasis on Black women's activist and intellectual history, comparative political activism in the United States and South Africa, and popular culture in the 20th Century.
The celebration will be preceded by the annual Freedom March, which begins at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center.
All 41 Library locations will be closed on Monday, Jan. 19, in recognition of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
