Celebrate Mt. Washington’s Grand Reopening!

Are you ready to explore the renovated Mt. Washington Branch (2049 Beechmont Ave.)? Come celebrate its reopening on Saturday, Feb. 14 and enjoy family fun while seeing what’s new!  

The event kicks off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. and continues until 4 p.m. with cool activities for all ages.  

Upgrades to celebrate include:  

  • New paint and flooring 
  • New furniture and shelving 
  • Vibrant kids’ and teens’ areas  
  • Quiet reading area with fireplace  
  • New MakerSpace  
  • New reservable meeting room with updated technology 
  • Modernized mechanical and electrical systems that were 50+ years old 
  • Refreshed staff space

Your Mt. Washington Branch renovation is guided by CHPL's Facility Master Plan, which outlines improvements to your 41 library locations with input from more than 3,000 community members to create more welcoming, accessible spaces.
