Cincinnati Recycling & Reuse Hub is the Latest Discovery Pass Partner

Written by Mackenzie Manley, Content Specialist, Downtown Main Library

Meet Cincinnati Recycling & Reuse Hub (CRRH), the Library’s new Discovery Pass partner, added just in time for Earth Month. Also known as the Hub, CRRH is celebrating their 5-year anniversary this year!

“For me, as one of the co-founders of the Hub, I am so happy that our organization can be a part of the Discovery Pass program to help spread awareness of our services and to allow our services to continue to be accessible for all who want to participate,” said CRRH Operations Director Carrie Harms.

What the Discovery Pass Will Offer

The partnership will include a pass to The Hub that offers general admission for one day per household (two adults and four children). Earlier this year, The Hub began charging for recycling of items such as plastics to help provide financial stability and better serve the community. While Hub Club memberships are as low as $10 a month, the Discovery Pass will allow residents to recycle general items for free and explore what The Hub’s all about.

Discovery Passholders will be able to bring an unlimited quantity of general items. Universal items like electronics, batteries, and lightbulbs will incur additional fees and are not covered by Discovery Pass. Purchases at the fourth-floor Hub Shop, CRRH’s retail “thrift” store, are also not covered by the pass.

About the Cincinnati Recycling & Reuse Hub

CRRH, or The Hub (located at 911 Evans St.), is a one-stop-drop for a wide variety of materials with the aim of diverting household materials from going into the landfill that cannot go into curbside recycling programs. The Hub accepts reusable items; general items like metal and plastics; and universal waste (electronics, batteries, lightbulbs, etc.). Learn more about accepted items

Since its founding in 2021, The Hub has diverted nearly 2 million total pounds from the community’s landfill over the past five years. In 2025, CRRH was on pace for a 66% increase in collected material, according to their website.

Hours are as follows: Tuesday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.; Thursday, noon-6 p.m.; and Saturday 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
