Discussion Series Hosted by CHPL, Mercantile Library Explores Women Shaping Change

Written by Keloni Parks, West End Branch Manager

This summer, the Mercantile Library, opens a new window and the Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library dive into three books by or about women leading the fight for social justice and racial equity in the United States. The Women Shaping Change discussion series kicks off at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 8, with Anna Malaika’s new book The Three Mothers.

This series has grown out of several book discussion groups I led in 2020 with the Mercantile Library's Reading Advisor, Hillary Copsey. The original series focused on social issues like race and politics and was well-received, so we've decided to keep going.
