Experience a Cincinnati Ballet Performance with Discovery Pass

The Cincinnati Ballet returns to CHPL’s Discovery Pass for two shows this April: Liberty in Motion and Pinocchio.

Discovery Pass is a program for Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library card holders. Customers can reserve a pass and get free admission to cultural institutions like museums, parks, and more. 

Director’s Vision: Liberty in Motion 

Passholders can reserve up to two complimentary tickets without fees in zones 1-4 for the following times:  

• Saturday, April 11 at 2 p.m. 
• Saturday, April 11 at 7:30 p.m. 
• Sunday, April 12 at 1 p.m. 

Liberty in Motion features works by three visionary choreographers: George Balanchine, Claudia Schreier, and Justin Peck. The performance highlights how each choreographer has redefined the art form in their own era, from groundbreaking neoclassicism to a vibrant contemporary voice.   

Pinocchio 

Passholders can reserve up to four complimentary tickets without fees in zones 1-4 for the following times: 

• Friday, April 17 at 7 p.m. 
• Saturday, April 18 at 2:30 p.m.  
• Saturday, April 18 at 6:30 p.m. 
• Sunday, April 19 at 11 a.m. 
• Sunday, April 19 at 2:30 p.m. 

Pinocchio is a family-friendly production filled with charm, adventure, and heart.  Follow the journey of a curious puppet who dreams of becoming something more, brought to life through playful storytelling, colorful costumes, and captivating choreography.  

 A Guide on How to Reserve Tickets  

Here’s how to use Discovery Pass to reserve Cincinnati Ballet tickets.  

1. Head to the Library’s Discovery Pass webpage, and click on “Reserve a Pass.”  
2. Login using your Library card credentials.  
3. Locate Cincinnati Ballet on the Discovery Pass portal and follow the prompts to reserve the designated number of complimentary tickets (two per cardholder for Liberty in Motion and four per cardholder for Pinocchio) available.  
4. Once you retrieve your pass via the Library’s webpage, click on “reserve your tickets online in advance at the Cincinnati Ballet website," which will be located at the bottom of the generated PDF. You will then be redirected to Cincinnati Ballet’s website.    
5. Claim your tickets before the performance on Cincinnati Ballet’s website. Discount for complimentary tickets will be applied at checkout.  

Please note the following considerations:   

• Additional tickets will incur regular box office fees.   
• If you missed the redirect link to the Cincinnati Ballet’s ticketing website, you can login to Discovery Pass, click My Reservations, and follow the necessary steps to redeem the complimentary tickets using Cincinnati Ballet's ticketing portal via the provided link.
