Get to Know the Library’s Newest Research Tool, AtoZ Databases

Written by Kent Mulchay, Reference Librarian, and Tricia Spaite, Materials Selection & Acquisition Manager, Downtown Main Library

In April, the Library will transition from Reference Solutions to a well-known competitor in the industry, AtoZ Databases. If you’re a regular user of Reference Solutions, please take some time to familiarize yourself with AtoZ.

AtoZ Databases offers all the business, demographic, and household information that Reference Solutions does, plus more. This includes job searching tools powered by Monster and resume templates.

You can explore AtoZ by visiting the Library’s Research Databases webpage. The database is listed under the categories of Business, Consumer Information, Health, and Jobs & Careers. You can also find the database by sorting the databases alphabetically.

You’ll be pleased to discover that AtoZ has a user-friendly interface and allows for higher download limits than what is currently available with Reference Solutions.

AtoZ provides regular live training through AtoZUniversity every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Live Chat is also available, with a customer service team online Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. to assist with any questions.

If you’d like to speak with Library staff about AtoZ Databases, please reach out to our 2 South (Genealogy & Research) Department at research@chpl.org or 513.369.6909.

If you’re a long time and frequent Reference Solutions user and you’d like to retain your saved searches, please reach out to reference librarian Kent Mulcahy directly at 513.369.6934 or kent.mulcahy@CHPL.org.
