It’s time to get jolly! Your renovated Oakley Branch reopens after a renovation on Saturday, Dec. 20, with a family-friendly celebration.
The day will kick off at 10 a.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Customers can enjoy warm drinks and snacks from neighborhood vendors, arts and crafts, face painting and balloon art, photo booth, live music, an Oakley Branch history display, and more. Santa will even drop by to visit the branch from noon-1 p.m.!
Upgrades to celebrate include:
- Updated meeting room
- An expanded kids' area
- Dedicated teen area
- New furniture and finishes
- New mechanical and electrical systems that replace end-of-lifecycle equipment
- Customers can look forward to new, upgraded holds lockers in 2026!
Your Oakley Branch renovation is guided by CHPL's Facility Master Plan, which outlines improvements to your 41 library locations with input from more than 3,000 community members to create more welcoming, accessible spaces.
