Find a Local Warming Center In Cincinnati and Hamilton County

By Liz Foreman, Marketing Manager, Downtown Main Library

During the cold months, it's important to stay warm. Anyone is welcome at any of the Library's 41 locations during open hours.

In case of severe inclement weather, the Library may open late, close early or be closed altogether.

If the Library is closed, people without housing are encouraged to seek shelter by:

  • Visiting an open Daytime Warming Shelter, opens a new window
  • Calling the City of Cincinnati at 311, or calling the United Way at 211.
  • Calling the Central Access Point (CAP) hotline at 513-381-SAFE (7233) or text CAP at 513-970-1515 for information about local services and shelters.

See tips and resources, opens a new window from the City of Cincinnati for staying safe in extreme cold.
