Teen Art Contest is Back with ‘River Roots’

Written by Mackenzie Manley, Content Specialist, Downtown Main Library

All aboard for 2025's Teen Art Contest! Running from Oct. 6-31, this year's theme is "River Roots."

Teens ages 13–18 are invited to design a bookmark inspired by this year’s theme, which  encompasses the nature, transportation, history, and culture of America's river communities. We can't wait to see what you dream up!

The top three winning designs will be printed and distributed at all CHPL locations.

About the Contest

The contest is for ages 13-18. Art must be an original two-dimensional artwork and submitted through an entry form, which can be found at chpl.org/art-contest.

You can submit artwork beginning Oct. 6 through Oct. 31. Finalists will be chosen and shared on social media on Nov. 3! The public will then be invited to vote for their favorite! The top three winners’ bookmarks will be distributed across all 41 Library locations.
