Written by Adam Vorobok, Reference Librarian, Downtown Main Library
What were those scratching sound just underneath the surface? Those gravestones seem to be at a weird angle, right? Join Warlock Vorobok as he guides you through the graveyard reading the most famous work of Scottish poet, Robert Blair. Blair only wrote three poems during his life, the third of which brought him a supernaturally strange amount of fame. "The Grave" gave birth to the graveyard school of poetry, where poets used graveyard imagery to meditate about mortality and the uncanny. Journey forth, foolish mortals, with Warlock Vorobok to 1743 and see if you can return from "The Grave."
