As part of Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library’s ongoing commitment to connecting our community to reliable, up-to-date technology, a scheduled outage will take place on Friday, June 13 starting at 6:15 p.m. across all 41 branches.
The outage may last several hours, going into the early morning of Saturday, June 14.
What Will be Down During the Outage?
The Library’s Information Technology Department will replace its core switches, or hardware that handles internet connectivity. As the hardware undergoes replacement, services on our website that require a login will be unavailable, including:
- The Library’s catalog
- Calls to the Library
- CHPL.org/ask
- CHPL.org/card
- Discovery Pass (download or print your reservation ahead of time)
While customers will not be able to place holds or access their Library account from home, they will be able to reserve meeting and study rooms.
Thank you for your flexibility and understanding as we work to improve your Library experience.
