Meet Me at Main continues on Sunday with It's a Freak Show Ace!: Author & Panel Discussion at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 12.
About the Event
From 1982 to 1988, The Jockey Club in Newport, KY was one of the most legendary punk venues in the Midwest, hosting shows for touring acts like The Ramones, Husker Du, Black Flag and more - not to mention countless local bands.
The Downtown Main Library is excited to host a panel discussion with people who were there: band members, street team, and young patrons alike, including Kelli Evans, the author of It's A Freak Show Ace!, a new book of flier art from the club.
We'll also be opening a new exhibit of original Jockey Club fliers and ephemera on the 3rd floor of the South Building!
This all-ages discussion will be hosted in the Downtown Main Library's Tower Room.
Schedule of events subject to change.
