Library Foundation edges past Baltimore Library for #BookBowl win

What: #BookBowl Giving Tuesday Fundraising Competition

Where: The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County, 800 Vine St. (downtown)

When: Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016

Why: Thanks to the generous support of our donors, the Library Foundation of Cincinnati and Hamilton County won #BookBowl 2016 vs. the Pratt Library in Baltimore. The Library Foundation raised $41,037 against Pratt Library's $39,340

As a result of the loss, Pratt library Acting CEO Gordon E. Krabbe will wear a Bengals jersey, dance the Ickey Shuffle and sing "Welcome to the Jungle." The video will be posted on YouTube at a later date.

The Library Foundation is dedicated to ensuring a great Library system by raising, managing, and allocating funds to expand and enhance the programs and services of the Library in the areas of children’s literacy, family outreach, senior services, and collection enrichment.
