Dark Moll, McGing Irish Dancers perform March 15 at Main Library

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day a little early with a family-friendly tribute to Irish heritage featuring music by Dark Moll and a performance by the McGing Irish Dancers.

The 37th Annual St. Patrick's Day Celebration of Song and Dance, sponsored by the Friends of the Public Library, starts at 11:45 a.m. Friday, March 15, in the Reading Garden Lounge of the Main Library. Attendees are invited up to the Friends’ Shop in the Mezzanine before and after the performances to browse a special display of Irish-themed books, books by Irish authors, and Celtic music CDs.

Reserved seating is available for members of the Friends of the Public Library.  Call 369-6035 to reserve a seat.

ABOUT DARK MOLL

Dark Moll has performed in the greater Cincinnati area for 20 years and is composed of friends, from Cincinnati's Riley School of Irish Music, who joined forces to perform traditional Irish music. Its members are Susan Monroe, Tim Clarke, Geoff Maher, Dave Gilligan and Susan Cross Gilligan.

Since its founding in 1977, the McGing Irish Dancers have produced two World Champion Solo Dancers and a World Champion Team, which made them the first school in North America to have a Female, Male and Team World Champion and ranks them as one of the most prestigious dancing programs in the world.
