The Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library's Adult Education & Workforce Development Department offers academic assistance in the areas of Basic Academic Skill Building, Adult Literacy Sessions, Conversational English Study, and Online Job Assistance.
Collaboration with community organizations contributes to the department’s mission to support life-long learning.

Career Help
Provide help with creating a resume/cover letter, assist with applying for jobs online, preparing for that interview and help with on-boarding once you have the job.
Basic Computer Skills
One-on-one appointments are available to help you become comfortable with using a computer. We can provide an introduction to Microsoft Office programs, managing email and the library’s online resources.
Literacy / Math
We provide Adult Basic reading and math assistance with library materials and resources.
High School Equivalency
If you are thinking about going back to school or taking the GED, we can help you navigate all the options Ohio has to offer.
In-Person Classes
During the year we offer presentations and classes at branch locations on a variety of topics from Financial Awareness to U.S. Citizenship preparation.
Virtual Classes
Each quarter we provide a wide variety of classes. Ask us and we will be happy to share our current class roster.
English as a Second Language (ESOL)
We offer in-person and virtual classes to help people who are learning English as their second language. We also offer one-on-one ESOL English tutoring by appointment.
