Mark your calendar for these Library events geared toward building financial literacy.
Offered in partnership with Brighton Center, the Pleasant Ridge Branch is offering Money Matters Meetup on Tuesdays starting April 14 and running through May 19. Library customers can drop in anytime between 1 to 3 p.m. to meet with a financial wellness coach and HUD-certified housing counselor.
Business Basics: Planning for Your Company Legacy
Hosted by the FDIC Money Smart for Small Business, this event provides participants with the tools to begin the process of succession planning whether you are keeping it in the family or selling the business. Held on Wednesday, April 15 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Madisonville Branch. Register.
Senior Connection: How to Buy & Sell Real Estate Smartly in Our Current Market
Older adults and their families can receive guidance on selling a home later in life from a Seniors Real Estate Specialist on Wednesday, April 15 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Sharonville Branch. Register.
Minority Business Assistance Center: On Site
Meet one-on-one with experts from the Minority Business Assistance on Thursday, April 23 at the Forest Park Branch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The MBAC team can help you access capital, develop a financial foundation, acquire certifications, and more. While registration is required, drop-ins are welcome. MBAC will also be on-site at the Deer Park Branch from 1 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6.
Register for a six-hour workshop at the Madisonville Branch on Saturday, April 25 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. designed to walk attendees through the homebuying journey from preparing your finances and securing a loan to making an offer and closing on your new home. Led by experienced industry professionals, participants will receive a certificate of completion, which may be required for certain homebuyer grants and loans.
