The deadline to register to vote in the May 5, 2026, Primary Election is Tuesday, April 6. The primary will determine which candidates will represent their respective parties on the ballot in November’s General Election.
Voters will decide on a mix of federal, statewide, and local races. In total, over 100 candidates will appear across Hamilton County ballots, though each voter will only see the contests relevant to their district.
The ballot includes key federal races — including the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives — as well as statewide offices such as Secretary of State, Auditor, and Treasurer. Voters will also select party nominees for the General Assembly, along with County Commissioner and judicial seats.
With so much at stake at every level of government, this is an important election — make a plan and don’t sit it out. Start by checking your voter registration status before April 6.
