This past year, The Library Foundation, opens a new window quietly celebrated our 20th anniversary, an endowment size (in millions) that matches our anniversary year, and more than $6.8 million in direct support to our Library since 2010.
Just this year, that support has helped our Library go further by:
- Enhancing kids' spaces at the reopened Downtown Main Library and new Forest Park Branch Library
- Providing free Homework Help for thousands of kids and teens in our community at Library locations
- Providing more than 26,667 healthy snacks to hungry youth after school and on weekends, at locations where those snacks are needed most in our community
- Making summer fun and educational for more than 29,044 youth in our community—each able to select a new book to keep and enjoy
- And much, much more!

Donors like you have helped young learners to not only master the skill of reading but to grow into lifelong learners who continue to benefit from the Library's many offerings. Literacy is more than learning to read—it enables reading to learn.
Our mission to support the Library’s work is more important than ever. From helping to support babies' first exposure to the written word to their first independent reading experiences, our Library opens doors to lifelong learning.
The Library is where learning goes far beyond the basics of literacy. It fuels creativity, imagination, and dreams while nurturing critical thinking and problem-solving skills. With your help, we provide opportunities for children to grow and be equipped for what they need to succeed today and tomorrow.
