In-Demand Jobs Week 2026: Build Career Skills at the Library

Written by David Siders, Civic Engagement Coordinator, Downtown Main Library

In-Demand Jobs Week, taking place May 4-8, 2026, highlights Ohio’s fast-growing industries with hiring events, educational activities, and training opportunities across the state.

With the theme “Reach Your Full Potential,” organizations across Ohio are working to connect residents with in-demand jobs through personalized support. Workforce readiness is a top education priority, and Ohio leaders are championing efforts for schools to provide students with real-world learning experiences.

The Governor’s Office of Workforce Transformation recently updated the state’s Top Jobs List,  highlighting jobs that pay well, offer strong long-term prospects, and are essential to the health and well-being of Ohioans.
