Hello educators, it’s that time of year again…back to school time! The Library has the resources to help make your curriculum come alive for your students and we also can create collections that meet your specific needs. This past year, our educational book order was supersized in order to meet the demand for subjects that educators need and want.
Our staff selected more than 4,000 nonfiction books from educational publishers to help you and your students this year. These publishers include ABDO, opens a new window, Jump, opens a new window, Bolt, opens a new window, Child’s World, opens a new window, Amicus, opens a new window, Capstone, opens a new window, PowerKids Press, opens a new window, World Book, opens a new window, and Bellwether, opens a new window. (Links will take you catalog holdings of these new materials.) The materials these books offer have curriculum curated content for preschool through high school students.

For our educational fiction collections, the biggest news is that we have purchased large-print editions of popular titles for children and teens. Thorndike Press, opens a new window has made these editions attractive and appealing to youth. Studies have shown, opens a new window that all students can benefit from reading in large print and we are excited for you to try them with your students.
