“Reckoning with Chaos, Creating Community” on Martin Luther King Jr. Day

"Where Do We Go From Here: Chaos or Community?" This year’s theme for the Martin Luther King Jr. Coalition’s, opens a new window annual Commemorative March and Program echoes this title of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s final book.

The Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library is partnering with the MLK Coalition in celebrating and honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. around the event theme, "Reckoning with Chaos, Creating Community.” The event begins at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center on Monday, Jan. 16 at 10 a.m.

Join with us in the Commemorative March at 10:30 a.m. at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, then find our table with materials available to check out, free CHPL merchandise, and resources at Music Hall ahead of the Celebration Program at noon.

Keeping a Legacy for Future Generations

With assistance by the MLK Coalition, the Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library provides books, audiobooks, movies, and other materials for future generations to learn and honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy. Each year, the MLK Coalition generously donates to CHPL to ensure that inspiring books are available to everyone.
