CHPL's 6th annual winter challenge for adults is returning later this month with new ways to earn prizes by doing something you love - using the Library!
2025's Winter Checkout Challenge kicks off Tuesday, Jan. 21. Complete the challenge at one of CHPL's 41 locations or from the comfort of your home using the online tracker.
How Winter Checkout Challenge Works
Signing up for Winter Checkout Challenge is easy, quick, and free for adults ages 18 and over.
Starting Jan. 21, visit one of CHPL's 41 locations for an entry form, or sign up at CHPL.org/winter.
Pick up a free Winter Checkout Challenge-themed drink coaster and coupon to the Friends of the Public Library Warehouse shop, opens a new window in Hartwell at your nearby library location just for joining the challenge!
If you haven't been before, the Friends Shop is the place to shop while supporting your Library at the same time. In addition to new and used books, you can buy CDs, DVDs, vinyl records, magazines, games, and puzzles!
When you complete at least five activities, visit the Library to pick up your free 2025 Winter Checkout Challenge mug (for the collectors out there!) for completing the challenge, while supplies last. While at the Library, you can also enter for a chance to win a grand prize!
Attend a Winter Event at CHPL
This year (spoiler alert!), you can check a challenge off of your sheet by going to a CHPL event on or after Jan. 21!
CHPL.org/events has thousands of fun, exciting, and enlightening events to choose from, including wellness-focused events to help us all feel great this winter.
So, mark your calendar for Winter Checkout Challenge and get ready to #stayincheckout!
