Fourteen individuals improved their job prospects — and their lives — upon receiving their high school diplomas during a special graduation ceremony held at 6 p.m. Nov. 16 at the Main Library.
These 14 adult students were the most recent graduates of the Career Online High School program offered by the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County. Participants earn accredited high school diplomas and career certificates by completing courses online with the help of an academic coach. Career certification is available in areas such as retail, childcare, security, office management, retail, and food service.
“The Library is proud to be able to offer this educational opportunity for adults in the community. We applaud the hard work and dedication shown by the graduates of the program,” said Kimber Fender, the Eva Jane Romaine Coombe Director of the Library.
This year’s graduates are Allahna Beasley, Donna Corsmeier, Julia Dukes, Kayla Ellis, Monica Ferguson-Rice, Maria Ferris, Lysette Fomekong, Vicki Hobbs, Kooper Knox, Georgina Lemon, Hortense Massa, Lisa Partridge, Adam Strunk, and Nicole Wagner.
