Who: Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County
What: HallowREAD Week
Where: At the Main Library and all 40 library branches
When: Starts Sunday, Oct. 22, and runs through Tuesday, Oct. 31
To celebrate Halloween and the spine-tingling thrills of reading, the Library is giving children age 12 and under a spooky passport, or parents can print one at CincinnatiLibrary.org.
For every visit to any Library location, a staff member stamps the passport and the child receives a piece of candy or a prize. On the third visit, they receive a free book. (One book per child; all subsequent visits receive only candy or a prize.)
Parents or adult caregivers also receive a coupon good for a discount at the Friends of the Library Shop in the Main Library, 800 Vine St., Downtown Cincinnati. For more information, call 513-369-6900.
