Mayor Aharon Brown Appointed to Library Board of Trustees

CINCINNATI — The Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library is pleased to announce the appointment of Mayor Aharon C. Brown to the Board of Trustees. 

Mayor Aharon C. Brown was appointed as a Trustee of the Library in October 2025 by the Hamilton County Board of Commissioners. He will serve a four-year term until October 2029. He will serve as Chair of the Operations Committee and as a member of the Development and Strategy Committees. 

“Mayor Brown will bring an exciting energy to our Library with his expertise in community engagement and dedication to service, making him a valuable asset to our organization,” said Eva Jane Romaine Coombe Director Paula Brehm-Heeger.  

“I’m honored to join the Board of Trustees and contribute to the Library’s mission of connecting people with the world of ideas and information,” said Mayor Aharon C. Brown. “Libraries are cornerstones of opportunity for our community, and I look forward to helping shape their future for all Cincinnati and Hamilton County residents.” 

A graduate of Miami University, Brown is the 17th and youngest Mayor of Forest Park, Ohio. He actively participates in the Planning and Economic Development Commissions to enhance the community. He focuses on community and economic development through job and housing creation. Mayor Brown has a strong volunteer background and has served on various boards, including being the founding member of the New Leaders Council of Southwestern Ohio. He is also a graduate of the Urban League's African American Leadership Development Program and part of the Obama Foundation Leaders USA 2025-2026 cohort.
