In response to changing customer needs, the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County is increasing the hours at the Northside Branch. Beginning Monday, Feb. 4, the branch, located at 4219 Hamilton Ave., now is open an additional four hours a week.
The Northside Branch is open two additional hours per day Wednesdays and Thursdays. The new hours are noon to 8 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday; and 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. The Northside Branch remains closed Sundays.
As part of this change, the Northside Branch is hiring a full-time teen librarian and several other staffers. The Library increased hours at the Avondale, Price Hill, and Walnut Hills branches in October. The Library added hours, and in some cases, additional staff to these branch libraries after studying customer use.
