The Library’s free tax help events are over for the season. For taxpayers seeking tax help or preparation during the summer, these resources are free and available to low- to moderate-income families:
DIY Online Tax Return Preparation
For taxpayers wishing to file 2023 tax returns on their own, MyFreeTaxes is available for all taxpayers earning less than $79,000 annually.
MyFreeTaxes offers support for different needs. People can access year-round support from IRS VITA-certified specialists via the toll-free MyFreeTaxes Helpline, email, and live chat. And MyFreeTaxes guides for gig workers, small businesses and childcare centers offer even more detailed guidance. This multifaceted support system helps people get timely, relevant assistance – and helps foster financial well-being.

Limited in-person free tax preparation and assistance will be provided United Way of Greater Cincinnati (UWGC) and its partners from May 15 through October 1, 2024.
