Written by Mackenzie Manley, Content Specialist, Downtown Main Library

The average cost of a round-trip economy ticket from Cincinnati to South Asia right now ranges from $1,000 to $1,500. But you don’t have to fork over any money to experience the art, food, and culture of South Asia — including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.

You just have to attend the Passport to South Asia event at the Downtown Main Library on Saturday, June 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

In partnership with Asianati, the Library will present a fun, immersive day that celebrates the cultures of South Asia and offers you a chance to learn about this part of the globe.

Along with all-day crafts, demonstrations, and food from Bridges Nepali Cuisine (vegan options available), attendees can look forward to the activities listed below.
