CHPL’s Most Borrowed Kids and Teen Books of 2024

Written by Paul Wellington, Social Media Specialist, Downtown Main Library

Familiar favorites and new reads topped 2024's most borrowed kids and teen books by Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library customers.

Favorites including "One Piece," "The Hunger Games," and "Bleach" were among the top teen books borrowed this year. “The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes,” published in 2020 by Suzanne Collins, earned the second spot thanks to the release of its film late 2023.

Dav Pilkey’s “Dog Man” and “Cat Kid” perennial popular series claimed six of the top 10 most borrowed kids books. “Pokemon Adventures” claimed the third spot, no doubt aided by the new television series “Pokemon Horizons.”
