It seems only fitting that the 10th birthday of Rufus the Reading Dog, a mascot for the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County, falls during National Library Week (April 10-16) this year.
Come celebrate during a special party 1-4 p.m. Saturday, April 16, in the Reading Garden Lounge at the Main Library.
The party kicks off at 1 p.m. with the Frisch Marionettes Variety Show. Other fun activities include crafts, games, stories and visits from some of Rufus’ mascot friends. Don’t forget to sign Rufus’ birthday card and have a piece of birthday cake!
The Library will continue to celebrate Rufus’ big milestone throughout the year. Look for him on social media, at other Library events, and make a special Rufus button in one of our MakerSpaces.
