CINCINNATI — The Symmes Township Branch Library will celebrate the opening of its new building at 11850 Enyart Rd., Loveland, Ohio, 45140 on Saturday, April 11, 2026. This $18 million project includes a footprint that's 30 percent larger than the previous location. The new space also includes renewable energy features including geothermal heating and solar energy panels, and many new amenities for community members such as:
- Interactive kids play space that supports literacy and exploration
- Dedicated teen space
- New MakerSpace
- Quiet reading area with fireplace
- Convenient drive-thru service
- An open marketplace of books and materials
- Expanded meeting spaces for community gatherings and events
“Libraries are at their best when they bring people together,” said Paula Brehm‑Heeger, Eva Jane Coombe Director. “This new Symmes Township Branch gives families, students, and neighbors more room to learn, create, and gather, and we’re excited to celebrate this milestone with the community that helped shape it.”
The ribbon-cutting ceremony and remarks will commence at 10 a.m., followed by a day filled with activities for all ages until 4 p.m. Activities include:
- Performance by India Cultural Centre Dancers
- Symmes Elementary Players present selections from Moana
- Storytimes
- SayCheese Photobooth
- Refreshments and Busken Cookies
- Little Fox Face Painting
- Cincinnati Circus Magician and Balloon Artists
- Classical guitarist Richard Goering
- Deadbeat Millionaires cover band
