Your Updated Hyde Park Branch Library
The Hyde Park Branch Library's Accessible Capital Improvement Project is on track to be completed this spring with many exciting updates and features for you to enjoy.
The project will bring major accessibility and layout improvements to the popular branch, last updated more than 50 years ago. Both building entrances are now flat, without steps. A brand-new, large elevator will help serve customers with mobility challenges.
Other features coming to the branch library, requested by customers, include:
- Updated flooring, paint, and furniture
- Improved and expanded meeting room
- Expanded rear parking lot
- Updated children’s area
- Fully-accessible restrooms
- Unique, built-in aquarium
- Increased natural light inside the branch
The Hyde Park Branch Library renovation is guided by CHPL’s Facility Master Plan, which outlines improvements to your 41 library locations with input from more than 3,000 community members. The 10-year investment in improving library locations across Cincinnati and Hamilton County focuses on welcoming, accessible spaces so customers can connect with others, access resources, and have fun.
